Power Bi Drillthrough Feature 

This Feature is newly added to the Power BI environment. Drillthrough filters allow you to create a page in your report that provides details on a single entit’ in your mode. In my example i have selected product category as the single entity to Drillthrough. Then use any data point referring to that entity column through the report to navigate to that drillthrough page with the matching filter context. This feature is very useful in in depth analysis of a entity,

First create a report and add a table to the report

Drill through feature will going to work on tables and I have selected below table to explain the steps

Im going to drill through the product categories give a report about products that belong so each category.

create a individual product analysis report like below,

in the filter panel you can find a field called Drillthrough filters

drag and drop a desired filter that you need to filter the tables in here i choose category name as a filter. now in the page 1 right click on the category and you'll see a option called drillthrough.

this will drill our category and give a overview about products that belongs to this category
